Bar Codes Becoming Obsolete?
When bar codes become extinct, it won't be RFID that killed them.
For years, some of us have been suggesting that at some
point in the future you won't need bar codes on items at the store because the
scanner will be able to look at the package and figure out that it's a 16 ounce
box of Yummy-Yummy cereal.
Well, to take a cue from the caution on your side-view
mirror, "Objects in the future may be closer than they appear."
